INDIANAPOLIS -- Surrounded by a sea of white jerseys, Michael Pittman Jr. rose alone.
Already with two touchdowns to his name, Pittman had carried the Indianapolis Colts offense to an early lead. But after quarterback Carson Wentz threw a pick six while trying to avoid a safety, the Colts once again needed someone to bail them out.
Facing third-and-16 from the Colts’ own 19-yard line with just 40 seconds on the clock, Wentz snapped the ball, backpedaled, stumbled and scrambled to his right before unleashing a 38-yard deep shot to a lone Colt in the middle of the field.
