INDIANAPOLIS -- Adam Vinatieri isn’t going anywhere. Despite his league-leading 11 missed kicks (six extra points, five field goals) this season, Frank Reich and the Indianapolis Colts announced Wednesday afternoon they are standing by the future hall-of-famer.

Twenty-four hours earlier, starting safety Malik Hooker explained why he hoped that would be the team's decision.

At the time, Hooker had no idea how the Vinatieri situation was going to play out. Forty-eight hours earlier, Vinatieri had missed an extra point that proved devastating in the Colts 16-12 loss to the destitute Miami Dolphins.
