Live blog: Lions jump out to early 7-0 lead vs. Colts

At long last, the regular season has arrived. After months of offseason workouts, training camp and the often insufferable preseason, the Colts are finally ready to kick off their slate of meaningful games today against the Detroit Lions. But are they ready to move to 1-0?

That's a complicated question, as Indianapolis will be missing a number of key players, including star cornerback Vontae Davis, Darius Butler, Clayton Geathers, Henry Anderson and Joe Haeg, who will all be inactive the Colts announced today. Austin Blythe and Chester Rogers also won't be available. However, the Colts do have some good news on the injury front: Kendall Langford and Jack Mewhort are both somewhat surprisingly active today and are both expected to star.
