Laiatu Latu set to make his first NFL start against Jaguars

Indianapolis Colts first round draft pick Laiatu Latu is set to make his first NFL start in Sunday’s divisional road game in Jacksonville.

The Colts rookie pass rusher is a technician with an ability to combine speed and power in his pursuit of opposing signal callers. Chicago’s first overall draft pick Caleb Williams was given one final opportunity to lead the Bears on a potential game-winning drive trailing 14-9 against the Colts midway through the fourth quarter. Latu capped off his breakout game by ripping through the assigned double-team of tight ends Mercedes Lewis and Cole Kmet, then rushed around the edge to Williams’ blindside and swatted the football loose to record his first career strip-sack before Williams could release his throw.
