INDIANAPOLIS -- For the first time since the 2009 season, Adam Vinatieri will not be the Indianapolis Colts kicker on game day.
Coach Frank Reich ruled out the future hall-of-famer Friday, saying the 46-year-old’s left knee would not heal in time for Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay.
Reich added that the idea of putting Vinatieri on season-ending injured reserve has not been discussed internally and that the kicker should be considered week to week with his injury.
