MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Kemoko Turay had a feeling last week, a feeling he couldn’t shake.
A feeling that began with his own frustration over the lack of help he and the rest of the Colts defensive ends were giving All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. The feeling fit the way the rest of the team had played in an 0-3 start.
Knowing he doesn’t have the leadership position to call the sort of players-only meeting he believed the team needed, Turay went to Buckner with the suggestion.
Buckner agreed.
“It’s not my place, but the thing is it bothered me,” Turay said.
