INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts have lost an 11th starter to injury this season, and their second already this week.
Outside linebacker John Simon, one of first-year general manager Chris Ballard’s shrewdest offseason signings, is headed to injured reserve, ending his first season with the Colts with four games left to play. Simon injured his shoulder in Sunday’s 30-10 loss in Jacksonville.
The move comes a day after the Colts sent starting cornerback Pierre Desir to IR after he suffered a shoulder injury on a tackle in Sunday’s loss.
