Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay acknowledged that incorporating quarterback Carson Wentz into the lineup has had "difficulties" since the team traded for him in February.
In video posted Saturday night by WXIN-59, Irsay said Wentz is respected in the locker room, but staying healthy is critical for him. Irsay also said Wentz's decision regarding COVID-19 vaccination is a complicating factor.
"I know he wants to go (Sunday vs. the Tennessee Titans)," Irsay said. "I know how hard he's worked. I know he's respected in the locker room.
"He has to stay healthy."
Wentz suffered two sprained ankles in a Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but several reports indicate he will start.
