INDIANAPOLIS – It would be easy to write off T.J. Green as a long-term answer in the Indianapolis Colts’ secondary.
He’s perfect if you want a safety whose hallmarks include poor tackling form, a lack of instinctive play and struggles in coverage.
Yet Green remains on the team’s roster. In fact, the third-year safety has quite a bit more than that going for him: He has the open mind of a new coaching staff and, perhaps, a new lease on life in the Colts’ new defensive scheme.
Still, none of that guarantees anything, even for a guy who was a second-round draft selection in 2016.
