INDIANAPOLIS — Jonathan Taylor hasn’t had so little to do on a game day in a long time. The Indianapolis Colts rookie running back received 13 touches (11 carries, two receptions) during Sunday’s 41-21 win in Detroit, his fewest since the Wisconsin Badgers fell to Northwestern on Oct 27, 2018. He rushed the ball 11 times that afternoon in Evanston, Ill.
As for his 31 total yards, well, Taylor has never been so ineffective. At least not since arriving in Madison, Wisc. Through his first seven NFL games, and 41 contests in college, 31 yards is the smallest contribution he’s made to a final box score.
