INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts know they got lucky last season.
All five members of the Indianapolis offensive line started every game. As a combined group, they played 5,368 of a possible 5,460 snaps.
The rarity of that achievement is easy to see. No other NFL team started the same five guys in every game in 2019. No Colts offensive line had put the same five starters on the field in every game since 2000.
And that means it’s likely that somebody’s going to have to step into the starting lineup at some point this year.
“I’ve said forever to the guys that aren’t the starters, ‘Hey, your time’s coming pretty quick,’ and last year was one of those years that doesn’t happen,” offensive line coach Chris Strausser said.
