Colts insider Zac Keefer and sports columnist Gregg Doyel talk about the Indianapolis Colts' win over Washington. Matt Kryger, IndyStar
INDIANAPOLIS — By the time they broke for summer vacation in mid-June, it felt like the Indianapolis Colts finally had figured it out, this riddle that’s haunted them (and their fan base, and their quarterbacks) for half a decade now. Had they really found five capable offensive linemen who, you know, could keep Andrew Luck upright for 16 games?
Turns out, no, they hadn’t.
While the interior finally seems shored up – thank you, Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly and Matt Slauson – the tackle spots have been a headache for a month now, and a very real cause for concern entering each of the team’s two regular season games.
