Even 38-year-old, 16-year NFL veterans with eight Pro Bowls on their resumes can find small ways to improve. That was the Indianapolis Colts’ message to their new quarterback, and much to the delight of the franchise, Philip Rivers agreed.
Not long after signing Rivers to a one-year $25-million contract with Indianapolis, the team suggested the veteran signal-caller could stand to benefit from some tweaks to his diet and workout regimens. Unsurprisingly, Colts coach Frank Reich said on Wednesday afternoon, Rivers embraced the suggestions.
"(He embraced change) because he's a great player and a great teammate," Reich said.
