INDIANAPOLIS -- Sunday turned out to be Nyheim Hines Day at Lucas Oil Stadium. After what has been a fairly quiet season for the second-year Colts running back, Hines took over Sunday, returning a pair of punts for touchdowns in leading Indianapolis to a dominating 38-6 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Hines' first return came in the first quarter, his 40-yard run setting up the Colts at the Carolina 36-yard line with quarterback Jacoby Brissett scoring from 1-yard out for the 7-0 lead with 9:30 to play in the first quarter. Hines took the next punt 84 yards for the 14-0 lead 92 seconds later.
