New Indianapolis Colts cornerbacks coach James Rowe is walking into a enviable situation in Indianapolis. In Kenny Moore, he’ll have not only one of the best nickel cornerbacks in the NFL but a former pupil of his at Valdosta State and a close friend. Another of his starters is Xavier Rhodes, a savvy eight-year veteran coming off a borderline Pro Bowl season who showed last year that he fits perfectly within defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus’ Cover-2 scheme.
There will always be room to improve, but given the talent and experience of Moore and Rhodes, Rowe probably won’t need a ton of time with either of them.
