INDIANAPOLIS — Marlon Mack was the running back who lost his 2020 season to a fluke injury, but in a small way, Jonathan Taylor feels like he was robbed of something, too.
“It sucks,” the perpetually positive Indianapolis Colts rookie stated. “Going into the season you’re excited to work with Marlon. I was ready to learn so much from him.”
Instead, Mack succumbed to a season-ending Achilles tear Week 1, and Taylor’s days of watching and learning from the sideline were quickly over. One week after his NFL debut, Taylor was handed the keys to a Colts ground game that gained more than 2,000 yards last season and expected to engineer similar success in 2020.
