INDIANAPOLIS — For the third consecutive season, the Colts find themselves trying to figure out how to replace Parris Campbell in the offense.
Campbell, the star-crossed former second-round pick whose career has been derailed by injuries, suffered a significant foot injury while making the biggest play of his Indianapolis career on Sunday, a field-stretching 51-yard touchdown catch.
Colts head coach Frank Reich declined to reveal the details of the injury, but he did admit that it’s possible Campbell will miss the rest of the season.
“It’s just heartbreaking for him, for us,” Reich said. “I just feel like he was hitting a groove and hate it for him.
