INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts might have to line up against the Los Angeles Chargers without one of their leaders.

A player not named Andrew Luck.

Veteran defensive end Jabaal Sheard, who underwent a procedure on his knee and has missed all but the first day of training camp, remains a question mark for the season opener.

“He’s making good progress,” Colts coach Frank Reich said.
