INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts are staying home for the final time of the NFL Combine, and it comes in a crucial offseason for the franchise's leadership.
After a 9-8 season that saw the highs of beating the Patriots and Bills and the lows of a late-season collapse, general manager Chris Ballard and coach Frank Reich are back but with a clear mission ahead: Fill the holes on a team with seven Pro Bowlers that were profound enough to prevent them from making the playoffs.
They don't have a first-round pick to work with, but they have selections in the next six rounds as well as at least $40 million to spend in free agency, which starts March 16.
