INDIANAPOLIS — He remembers the play, and his pain, and his fury. But most of all, he remembers his anxiety. “No, no, no, not again,” he told himself while he lay helpless on the field that evening, mind racing, hands blanketing his face, trainers asking him what’s wrong.
What did it feel like?
“It felt like the bottom of my leg was dangling from my knee,” Henry Anderson recalls.
For a second he sunk into denial. Maybe it’s only the MCL? Maybe it’s not that bad?
