INDIANAPOLIS — Three running plays from the 1-yard line that failed to cross the goal line. A pair of fourth-down sacks. A shovel pass blown up by the NFL’s best defensive player.
The Colts offense has been terrible in the red zone through the first two weeks of the 2021 season, unable to score on any play other than well-placed missiles from Carson Wentz to Zach Pascal.
The red zone is not the only issue for the Indianapolis offense after an 0-2 start. The health of Wentz’s sprained ankles, the surprising inability of the Colts offensive line to play up to its reputation and a lack of explosive plays have held Indianapolis back.
