ANDERSON — It’s a fact that would be nearly unbelievable if it weren’t indisputably true.
Logic-defying as it might be, the Colts produced a league-leading passing offense in 2014 with a running game that ranked in the bottom third of the NFL.
You could say the Colts’ success in the passing game came very much in spite of the failures of their impotent rushing attack.
And now?
Well, signing running back Frank Gore certainly is a great start. The late-season experience gained by backup Boom Herron won’t hurt, either.
Just imagine if the Colts can present even the mere threat of a consistent running game.
