INDIANAPOLIS – The pitchforks are out for Scott Tolzien after last Sunday’s epic showing in Los Angeles.
So, naturally, the attention of Indianapolis Colts fans – at least the ones who are still engaged – has shifted to backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett. That old adage about the backup quarterback often being the most popular player on the team?
It rings true once again.
Tolzien, who started the Colts’ season opener but had a wretched performance marked by two interceptions returned for touchdowns, could be benched for Sunday’s home opener against the Arizona Cardinals.
