If you wanted to believe in the 2015 Indianapolis Colts, they finally gave you a reason to do so for much of Sunday night.
They were a team that appeared willing to fight, to protect its home field, to show it possessed some measure of dignity.
But by the game’s conclusion, one overriding truth was reinforced: The Colts remain inferior to the New England Patriots.
This cannot be argued now because there is simply too much evidence. Recent history tells us it is so. The scoreboard tells us it is so. And the Patriots’ utter dominance in the second half of Sunday’s win tells us it is so.
