INDIANAPOLIS — After seven weeks of the season, it has become clear the 2019 Indianapolis Colts are a team with no glaring holes. That isn’t to say the roster is stacked top to bottom with Pro Bowlers, but there is no single position on the roster that is screaming to be addressed as the NFL trade deadline approaches.
A quick look around the league, and it’s easy to see that’s not true of every playoff contender.
In fact, a few of them already have made moves in the hope of shoring up deficiencies. Perhaps in the coming days general manager Chris Ballard, too, will make a trade or two, but if he does, it won’t be because he’s desperate to address a weakness.
