INDIANAPOLIS – Since the hiring of General Manager Chris Ballard six weeks ago, the Colts have done the following:
>> Jettisoned their starting inside linebacker and defensive quarterback, D’Qwell Jackson.
>> Traded away starting tight end Dwayne Allen one year into a 4-year contract.
>> Released No. 2 cornerback Patrick Robinson after one season.
>> Passed on re-signing defensive playmakers Mike Adams and Erik Walden.
Anyone still have doubts about Ballard’s intention of turning the page? Ballard is going to do this his way and his alone.
But in doing so, the first-year general manager is also putting his own neck on the line.
