INDIANAPOLIS – Perhaps no Indianapolis Colts player had a more surprising emergence in 2016 than receiver Chester Rogers.
He arrived unheralded, an undrafted free agent from FCS program Grambling State buried at the bottom of the team’s depth chart.
Then he dominated parts of training camp. And then he kept impressing in practice. By season’s end, Rogers was, at times, operating as the team’s No. 2 wide receiver in place of the injured Donte Moncrief.
A fabulous 2017 offseason seemed like a precursor to Rogers’ continued ascent.
