If there was one position where the Indianapolis Colts could least afford to lose players due to injuries, it would probably be safety.
Besides two-time Pro Bowl participant Mike Adams, who has recorded a total of 10 interceptions over the last two seasons, Indianapolis has bodies but not a lot of experience at the position.
With the decision not to re-sign 2015 starter Dwight Lowery and his subsequent free-agent move to San Diego, second-year safety Clayton Geathers had already been penciled in last spring as Lowery’s most obvious replacement and line up next to Adams in the Colts’ rebuilt secondary.
