INDIANAPOLIS – Thirteen times in Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans, Andrew Luck absorbed the blows. Thirteen times he was on the wrong end of the shots doled out by the defense. Thirteen times the Indianapolis Colts quarterback sustained a hit, including the game-changing sack-strip by pass rusher Jadaveon Clowney.
As a consequence, Luck is still hurting. So much so the Pro Bowl quarterback was unable to practice Wednesday as the Colts began preparations for Sunday’s road game against the Minnesota Vikings. Luck’s right shoulder and elbow, according to coach Chuck Pagano, were sore and prompted the decision to hold him out.
