Soon-to-be free agent cornerback Rashaan Melvin made an appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio to discuss his impending free agency.
Melvin mentioned that Indianapolis is where his career “blossomed” so he “wouldn’t mind going back there.” Melvin also said that “it’s all positive” regarding his preliminary discussions with the Colts about re-signing.
Melvin was never really given a chance to play before he landed in Indianapolis in 2016.
He played well in his first season with the Colts breaking up 7 passes and racking up 52 tackles in 2016. Melvin followed that up with a breakout year last season where he broke up 13 passes and snagged 3 interceptions in just 10 games before suffering a season-ending wrist injury.
