The Seattle Seahawks released cornerback Cary Williams on Monday after the veteran had fallen out of favor with the coaching staff and did not play in the past two games. Assuming Williams clears waivers, the Indianapolis Colts should inquire about Williams’ services for the remainder of this season.
Williams did not live up to the Seahawks’ expectations after signing a three-year, $18 million contract with them this past offseason. However, his failure with the Seahawks does not mean he has completely forgotten how to be a cornerback in the league.
