The Colts entered free agency with a major hole at the inside linebacker position, and that hole became even larger when Jon Bostic decided to leave Indianapolis and sign with Pittsburgh.
Indianapolis missed out on a few of the top linebackers in this year’s class of free agents as many of them have already signed with other teams. However, Korey Toomer is a solid rotational linebacker who could improve the Colts’ depth at the position.
Korey Toomer spent the first two years of his career struggling to find playing time with the Cowboys, Rams, and Raiders. He finally got a chance to get some regular playing time with the Chargers in 2016 as he racked up 49 tackles, 1 sack, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 2 pass breakups in 13 games.
