Indianapolis Colts agree to stop using '12th Man' in settlement with Texas A&M

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to remove "12th Man" from their Ring of Honor at Lucas Oil Stadium as part of a settlement with Texas A&M University, which owns the trademark.

The Colts have until Aug. 15 to take the phrase off the Ring of Honor. All other uses of the trademark have to end immediately.

The "12th Man" refers to the support of a legion of fans. The Colts added the phrase to the Ring of Honor at the RCA Dome in December 2007. Lucas Oil Stadium opened the following season.
