In-house candidate Jimmy Raye III will have opportunity to impress Irsay for Colts' GM job

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has started the process of finding a replacement for Ryan Grigson as general manager.

The Colts have requested to speak with Minnesota Vikings assistant general manager George Paton and Seattle Seahawks co-player personnel directors Scott Fitterer.

Irsay said Saturday that Colts vice president of football operations Jimmy Raye III will also interview for the position.

It’s anybody’s guess which way Irsay is leaning on to hire to be in charge of improving the team’s roster.

Raye III, who will be in Mobile, Alabama, with coach Chuck Pagano this week for the Senior Bowl, has been with the Colts since 2013.
