In the wake of Dwayne Allen‘s injury, the Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent tight end Chase Coffman with their vacant spot on the team’s 53-man active roster.
The 7th-year tight end was released just after the team’s final 53-man roster cuts in early September, having previously spent this past preseason and training camp with the Colts.
Originally a 3rd round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009, Coffman has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks organizations.

In 37 career games (3 starts), Coffman has 18 receptions for 177 total receiving yards and 2 touchdown receptions.
