In a bit of a surprising announcement today, Colts Senior Offensive Assistant Howard Mudd has decided to return to step down from his role with the team.

Mudd spent many years on staff with the Colts and has been an NFL coach in some capacity for the better part of the Super Bowl era. His work with the Colts offensive line during Peyton Manning’s time here kept the quarterback upright and effective, and it was a certainly a win to get him on staff out of retirement after 6 years out of the league.
