INDIANAPOLIS — For football fans in Indianapolis, it has become an annual tradition.
The Colts sit on the precipice of the new league year with an enormous amount of salary cap space. By getting the Washington Commanders to take on Carson Wentz’s full $28.3 million salary, Indianapolis pushed its available space to more than $72 million, by far the most space in the NFL.
The question is what the Colts will do with it.
“We’ll do the same we’ve done every year,” Indianapolis general manager Chris Ballard said. “If an opportunity presents itself we think is good, we think we’re getting a good player at a value we think is the right price, then we’ll do it.
