Fans weren't the only ones convinced this offseason that former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was a Colts' trade target.
Stafford's wife, Kelly, also saw Indy as a possible destination.
"During the whole trade thing, we thought (the Colts were) a possibility," Kelly Stafford said on her The Morning After podcast. "We looked at Zillow for houses there, started to explore.
"They're an awesome team."
The Colts, who lost 27-24 to the Rams on Sunday, were reportedly one of the seven or eight teams to make an offer to Detroit for Stafford, but they weren't able to match the Los Angeles Rams' package of 2022 and '23 first-round picks and quarterback Jared Goff.
