Hooker excited to make some tackles

Dwayne Washington broke through the second level of the Indianapolis Colts' defense and had a clear path to the end zone in the second quarter Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Detroit Lions running back had just one man to beat, and rookie safety Malik Hooker made sure that did not happen.

The first-round draft pick caught up to Washington at the 20-yard line and made a diving tackle to prevent the score. There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the play, except for the fact tackling was loudly proclaimed as the former Ohio State star's weakness when he was selected with the 15th overall pick in April's draft.
