Y.A. Tittle, who played quarterback for 17 professional seasons, has died at the age of 90, according to the LSU football team.
LSU deputy athletic director Verge Ausberry told the New Orleans Advocate that Tittle died Sunday night surrounded by his family.
Tittle made the Pro Bowl seven times while playing for the Baltimore Colts, San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants from 1948 to 1964.
The 1963 NFL MVP from The Associated Press, he is one of eight players -- a list that includes Peyton Manning and Drew Brees -- to throw for seven touchdowns in a game.
