INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts can’t go on like this. Throwing the ball more than 70 percent of the time is not only a good way to get Andrew Luck bludgeoned but it’s also not an effective strategy for winning games.

Frank Reich has the record to prove it.

“It’s killing me to have to throw it this much,” the 1-4 Colts coach said recently.

Through the first five games, Reich’s offense has been the most one-dimensional team in the NFL, running the ball just 20 times a game while slinging it almost 50.
