INDIANAPOLIS — Eric Fisher fought hard this offseason, aggressively rehabilitated his torn Achilles tendon to get on the field for his new team faster than anybody expected.
Fisher realized that goal. Initially expected to miss the first month of the season or more, Fisher missed only the season opener.
But there is a difference between being able to play in an NFL game and playing at the Pro Bowl level Fisher had achieved in Kansas City before he suffered the injury, and the veteran tackle readily admits that he hasn’t been able to meet his own expectations yet.
