The Colts will be transitioning to a 4-3 scheme next season under new defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.
Jabaal Sheard will step in as one of the starting defensive ends, but the spot on the opposite side of the line is up for grabs. Tarell Basham is probably the favorite heading into training camp, but he’s coming off of a disappointing rookie year.
Indianapolis has plenty of cap space to spend after a pretty quiet free agency period, and there are some quality free agents still available. One of those available free agents could inject some juice into their pass rush right away.
