Free Agency Spotlight: Colts’ Long Snapper Luke Rhodes signs ERFA Tender

The Indianapolis Colts have announced that long snapper Luke Rhodes has signed his exclusive rights free agent tender, as of Tuesday morning. The signed tender allows Rhodes to return to a one year deal with $645,000 in base salary.

Rhodes signed with Indianapolis as a free agent in October 2016. He transitioned from linebacker to long snapper before the 2017 season after the Colts cut long snapper Matt Overton following that year’s NFL draft. He has played in 36 career games and counted four special teams tackles.

Rhodes played in all 16 games in 2018 and snapped for Adam Vinatieri, who in 2018 became the NFL’s all-time leader in points scored and field goals.
