INDIANAPOLIS — Marcel Dabo knew he had no control over his NFL destination if he didn’t hear his name called during the draft, other than he’d be somewhere in the AFC South.
But the German defensive back had an idea where he wanted to be.
The Colts brought him to Indianapolis for an official visit at the end of March and put him through his paces, the same way they interview dozens of other draftable prospects every year.
Dabo met general manager Chris Ballard, coach Frank Reich and defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, sat down with defensive backs coaches Ron Milus and Mike Mitchell to watch tape, both of his Pro Day and of the Indianapolis defense.
