Tony Siragusa, the man known as "Goose" in the center of the Colts defensive line in the early 1990s, has died.
He was 55 years old.
Colts owner Jim Irsay confirmed the Goose's death on Wednesday via Twitter.
"I'm heartbroken, as is all of Colts Nation," Irsay said on Twitter. "The Goose squeezed 200 fun-loving years into 55!! He was one of the most physically strong players I have ever seen in 50 years."
That mix of brute strength on the field and an affable personality off it made Siragusa one of the more popular veterans on the mid-1990s Colts teams.
