INDIANAPOLIS — Doug Baldwin needed a doctor. Badly. As soon as possible.
Not for himself, right at the end of a terrific rookie season in Seattle, a breakout star for a Seahawks team on the rise. Baldwin’s mother, Cindy, and his little brother, Devon, had just been in a car accident, a wreck that left Devon with an injured eye.
Baldwin was worried, anxious to find somebody capable of making sure his little brother, 13 ½ years younger than him, was going to be OK.
