If you thought the Colts have gotten screwed by schedule-makers in recent years, well, you may be right.
According to analysis done by Warren Sharp, a football analyst who runs his own website, the Colts rank 31st of 32 teams in scheduling inequalities, based on variables surrounding preparation time, rest and primetime games, over the last 10 years. Overall strength of schedule and travel were not factored in, Sharp said, because games are played on a rotational basis.
He tried instead to measure variables the NFL can control on a yearly basis — mainly, when a team plays its opponents.
