INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts are not expected to bring Eric Fisher back at left tackle, a league source told IndyStar on Wednesday.
Fisher, 31, was signed last May as a short-term solution to replace Anthony Castonzo following the left tackle’s retirement, and struggled in pass protection after returning early from the torn Achilles tendon he suffered in the playoffs in his final year with Kansas City.
Brought in on a one-year, $8.38 million contract with incentives that pushed it to $9.4 million, Fisher is a free agent again, and Indianapolis has decided to look elsewhere for an answer at the left tackle spot.
