This is not a new Ryan Grigson. That’s what people are telling me. The Ryan Grigson who emerged Thursday from his burrow on 56th Street, who didn’t see his shadow but was seen at Lucas Oil Stadium laughing and joking and sounding humble and human, this is not some new concoction. It’s the Ryan Grigson they’ve seen around the Colts facility for years, before last year anyway, before 45-7 in Foxborough and DeflateGate and quarterback Andrew Luck’s injuries.
This is the Ryan Grigson who as general manager helped create that Colts powerhouse – “Build the monster,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano always says – and built it so strong and so fast that it nearly ate him and Pagano after last season’s 8-8 debacle.
